Headache Blog Carnival FAQ

What is a blog carnival?

Generally speaking, a blog carnival is a collection of links to a variety of a blog entries on a central topic. An organizer coordinates the administrative details behind a carnival and a host volunteers to put together an issue and publish it on the appropriate time and day on his or her own blog. Participants and supporters of the carnival link to the carnival on their own blogs.

The theme for each edition is either chosen by the organizer or by that month's host in collaboration with the organizer.

What is the Headache & Migraine Disease Blog Carnival?

The Headache & Migraine Disease Blog Carnival is a monthly blog carnival organized by Diana Lee, editor of Somebody Heal Me: The Musings of a Chronic Migraineur. It has been created to provide both headache & migraine disease patients and people who blog about these conditions with unique opportunities to share ideas on topics of particular interest and importance to us.

How do I participate?

(1) By submitting your own posts for consideration. Send them directly to Diana at somebodyhealme AT dianalee DOT net.

(2) By promoting the carnival on your blog. On the day the carnival is posted at the host's blog, put an entry up on your blog that links to it.

How can I be a host?

Please send me an e-mail (somebodyhealme AT dianalee DOT net) if you're interesting in hosting a future edition of the carnival, and we can discuss the details. The only set in stone prerequisite for being selected as a host is that you must have participated in the carnival by contributing a submission at least once.

If you are selected to be a host and agree to do so, let me know if you have a particular theme in mind. I'm happy to incorporate your ideas into the carnival. However, if you don't have a theme in mind I can help you develop one or suggest one myself. I like to decide a few months in advance to make it easier to spread the word about upcoming themes while promoting the carnival.
