After many attempts to make meditation a habit in my life, I finally had a breakthrough last week. I'm incredibly excited to finally have the experience I'd hoped for and expected.I've been using a body scan on CD by Jon Kabat Zinn, which my therapist Dr. O gave me to use. You can see all his work at this website: Mindfullness CDs and Tapes. I'll probably get bored with it sooner or later and have to look for some other options, but it is a great place to start.
I also have these:
- Relaxation Body Scan & Guided Imagery for Well-Being
- Break Through Pain: A Step-by-Step Mindfulness Meditation Program for Transforming Chronic and Acute Pain
I highly recommend both in addition to Jon Kabat Zinn's work.
These resources are also worth exploring:
- My Thought Coach - Stin Hansen
- Hip Tranquil Chic
- Meditation Station by Stin Hansen
- Free Buddhist Audio
- A Quiet Mind
