Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In recognition of the prevalence of this horrible, scary disease, I'm taking this opportunity to share some basic information about prevention and early detection.

Prevention:
Breast Cancer Prevention

Certain lifestyle changes can help reduce your risk:
  • Limit alcohol
  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Avoid long-term hormone therapy
  • Stay physically active
  • Eat foods high in fiber
  • Emphasize olive oil
  • Avoid exposure to pesticides
