I wanted to share my good news with you guys, especially since happy posts from me are often so rare.I got approved for Social Security Disability! I start receiving benefits in May.
I was afraid I'd end up having to apply all over again because you have to have been disabled under their standards (meaning you can't have worked at all) for 5 months. Although I'd already been informed that I meet the medical standard for receiving disability, I won't meet that 5 month mark until April. Instead of denying me, they're simply starting my benefits two months later than expected.
