Follow Advice on Supplementing Vitamin D

Taking a supplement to boost your Vitamin D level can be a good thing. Many people with chronic pain, including migraine disease, have low levels of Vitamin D that need to be supplemented.

But too much of a good thing is never a good idea. Some people who take excess amounts of Vitamin D experience dangerous toxicity.

It's possible to take too much vitamin D

It is extremely important to follow your doctor's advice on supplementing your Vitamin D level.
The best way to get enough Vitamin D is through exposure to the sun, but if heat and sunlight trigger your migraines (as they do mine), you're probably not getting much exposure. Supplementing can help, but you need to discuss it with your doctor.
