Careful how you interpret those 'statistics'.

Are you a 'glass-half-full' person, or a 'glass-half-empty' person?

If half as many adults with disabilities are employed as those without - that means that great strides have been made since when NO (none, nada, zero) adults with disabilities had employment.

Earnng an income is not the only measure of respect and care for persons with disabilities - nor the amount of that income. Income is one measure, but only one.

Why do you post this without your own opinion on what it means (to you)?

As a disabled individual, I found the information interesting. I'm not sure why you would presume malicious intent from my choice to share this information. It's my blog and I share what interests me. End of story.

Diana, I too am a disabled person, and statistics or not, I know that once I was able to find work at home (and yes it paid significantly less than I had been paid before so that my benefits were not affected)I felt so glad to be making a contribution again. If there are others interested please visit http://www.jlodge.com as there are jobs available if you are on disability and have a ticket to work. It really has made a huge difference for me!
