The New York Times reports that an extensive study found 1 in 5 young adults (ages 19 to 25) has a personality disorder that interferes with day to day life.

Although recent tragedies on college campuses have raised awareness of these issues and their prevalence among young adults, the study's authors said there is a widespread lack of treatment for this group. They called upon parents and college administrators to address the need for more treatment for these issues.
