I'm participating in the Migraine Awareness Month Blogging Challenge every day in June.
Today's prompt is: "June Is Bustin' Out All Over!" What's the best tip you can offer others for having some summer fun despite Migraines?
As someone whose migraines are triggered by both the heat and the sun, trying to enjoy the summer and warm weather events without being driven to bed with a migraine is a topic I've had much time to ponder since I had my first migraine around 28 years ago.
Here are my tips, learned through all those years of experience:
(1) Stay hydrated.
(2) Wear good sunglasses and/or a hat.
(3) Keep your meds handy.
(4) Bring a zip top bag so you can make an ice pack.
(5) Know your limits. Try not to over do it. Go home if you can tell you're starting to get too hot.
