I love those blue ice packs you can buy at drugstores and keep a half dozen of them on hand to use on my head and neck during migraine attacks. But who knew there were such easy ways to make them yourself?
There are two popular recipes for making these delightful little bags of pain relief. Both can be used straight from the freezer and are still flexible enough to conform to your head, neck or any other body part needing cold therapy.
Alcohol Recipe
Combine 1 part rubbing alcohol with 3 parts water in a recloseable plastic freezer bag. Put in the freezer so it's ready to use when you need it. The alcohol keeps it from freezing solid.

Dishwashing Liquid Recipe
Fill a recloseable plastic freezer bag with Dawn dishwashing liquid. Put in the freezer so it's ready to use when you need it.
